History

Sought Out has been actively serving the Hampton Roads area and beyond since 1987.

Founded by Katherine M. Allen, LPC, Sought Out, Inc. was established originally out of her heart to help young women deal with unwanted same-sex attraction and other sexual and relationship issues. Over the years, the organization grew, responding to the many needs in this area that churches and counseling centers were not equipped to address.

Sought Out, Inc. stands alongside churches and individuals promoting relational and sexual wholeness. Sought Out asserts that freedom is possible and readily available for the persons who struggle with broken relationships, issues of abuse, sexual addictions, and unwanted same-sex attraction.

In January 2011, Katherine Allen retired and Rev. Bob Price joined the team as our new Executive Director.
